It's About Time For an Update!

Well hello! I was thinking this evening it was about time for me (KT) to do a little update on Effortlessly Chic.
We (my sister Denise and I) have had a great year. The year of 2009 has been the most successful year for Effortlessly Chic. The photos above are pictures of this years biggest sellers. The coffee bag and the wool blend houndstooth scarf sold out at every fair and event we participated in. Orders have been coming in for these two products like you wouldn't believe.
Next month we have some exciting things we are doing. On the 29th of January we of Effortlessly Chic will be making a trip to Boston to sell some of our scarves and handbags to some upscale boutiques. Our main focus at the moment is to get our name out there. One day I hope to have Effortlessly Chic a brand that is recognized around the world. You can laugh if you want but that is my dream. I know we are small and just starting out but if you think about it at one time no one had ever heard of Coach or Louis Vuitton. Talented people started those designer names and look at what they are today. It is my firm belief that if you have a good product and you believe in that product you will be successful.
Well thats about all I am going to say for tonight. I will be updating the blog frequently so be sure to check back often to see what we are up too!

The Fair

I Love the Fryeburg fair. It was the highlight of the year ever since I was little. Every year I'd save my allowance so I could buy something special. Thats why selling there was so important to me. I saw so many little girls as I used to be, so excited to buy that special item with their own money.
My sister Denise and I try to make visiting our booth a special occasion. We take the time with each customer to make sure they get exactly what they want. I have customers comment to me that was so much fun and a great experience.
Last week there was one customer in particular who I had a great time with. We had the vanity in the booth mounded with scarves as she tried and tried to find exactly the one she wanted. When she finally found what she was looking for she was so happy.
That is what this business is all about in my opinion. I love to see a happy customer!

FRYEBURG FAIR 2009

Fryeburg Fair was an exciting week with sales nearly tripled from last year. My sister Denise and I were very happy with the week. I had numerous customers return from last year for more handbags and scarves. They went on and on about how they gave them as gifts and what a huge hit they were.
